Greetings! This is the one hundred sixty third edition of the Monday Messenger.
Its purpose is to bring you current information about the ABCDE project
and area. ABCDE consists of local residents from Atlanta, Burden,
Cambridge, Dexter and Eastern Cowley County working
together for community development. If you have anything to submit

Bluegrass Festival
The 2nd Annual Ben Green Memorial Bluegrass Festival will be held on July 24-26 in Dexter. Hosted by the Briarpatch Band, it will be located at 1 ½ miles east of K-15 Highway on 212nd road. Look for the giant tent. For more information contact Jim Sexton at 876-5876. Some of the featured performers include the Walnut River String Band, Timber Creek and the Briarpatch Band. The cost is $10 for Friday only, $12 for Saturday only or $20 for the whole weekend. Kids under 12 are free.
ABCDE Flint Hills Country Music Opry at the Fair The ABCDE organization will be putting on a Flint Hills Country Music Opry at the Cowley County Fair on August 2nd. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the free stage on the midway. The line up is as follows:
