Eastern Cowley County has a strong showing in the number of businesses contacted. If you’d like to join the QUAD board, you’re welcome to join at any time. ABCDE Members Visit Topeka

Several ABCDE members spent a few days last week in Topeka for the Kansas Downtown Development Association’s (KDDA) training and Day on the Hill.  ABCDE is a member of the KDDA.  Melissa Fraley, Vicki Drake and Shannon Thom Martin participated in the event and meet with both Ed Trimmer and Greta Goodwin.  Both legislators were very receptive and supportive of the ABCDE efforts and their concerns.  Donna Martin and Lonnie Stieben also attended the training on the first day.

bulletAlways celebrate successes in a business; Grand Opening, Anniversaries, 100th Customer, etc.
bullet6 - 10% of your businesses budget should be spent on advertising.
bulletAn entrepreneur is someone who is always “tinkering” with the business.
bulletPlan in advance for the transition of your business for when you decide to retire, close, etc.
