ABCDE Meeting Tonight!

The monthly ABCDE meeting will be held tonight September 11th at 7:00 p.m. at Emory’s Building in Burden.  There are several exciting items on the agenda.  I hope to see you then.

Getting the word out…..

We should all be pleased with the results of our efforts in the ABCDE area.  We are being featured in many ways.  The Cowley First Cultural Committee recently toured the area.  The participants were interested in the Atlanta Community Building and several walked around on the stage.  Julie Headrick served cinnamon rolls, tea and coffee before the group toured Flinthills Aromatherapy.  When Gary and Wanda Headrick’s farm was a stop on the Conservation Tour last month, Gary gave a presentation on the watering system and set-up he developed with the assistance of the Cowley County Conservation Department.  It is great that the area is being featured and toured in many ways.  Next month, there are three different bus and group tours coming to the Dexter area.  They will view longhorn cattle, eat a home cooked meal, hear re-enactors, tour an 1878 stone barn and walk a corn maze.  We have a lot to offer and I truly feel that we are “on the verge of greatness”.
